The pistol uses a traditional GI recoil system paired with a 5 inch barrel whose hood is marked COLT 45 AUTO. External features remain faithful to the period: vertical rear slide serrations, a standard (non-lowered) ejection port, a solid short trigger, a wide checkered spur hammer, and double-diamond checkered wood grips.
GI-style fixed sights include a blade front and square-notch rear, matching the historical theme. Safety features are the classic 1911 thumb safety and grip safety. The finish is blue/black over steel frame and slide, delivering a traditional Colt appearance.
