The M&P9 Shield M2.0 pairs a stainless steel slide and 3.1 in stainless barrel with a black Armornite corrosion-resistant finish. Its single-stack 9mm design keeps the profile slim while maintaining shootability in a micro-size format.
Controls include a manual thumb safety, a hinged two-piece safety trigger with a tactile reset, and a left-side slide stop. A sear-deactivation system allows field-stripping without pulling the trigger.
Sighting is handled by dovetailed steel 3-dot sights with a white-dot front and a low-profile, two-dot rear. Front and rear scalloped slide serrations provide confident manipulation.
A chamber viewport on the barrel hood offers a quick visual check. The slide/frame junction bears the factory caution marking: "CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED."
This pistol ships with two factory single-stack stainless-steel magazines: a 7-round flush-fit and an 8-round with a finger-extension basepad, supporting an 8+1 capacity when using the extended magazine.
