The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 pistol stands out with Glock-pattern magazine compatibility, an 8 inch nitrided threaded barrel, and a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with a continuous, T-marked Picatinny top rail. It features billet-machined aluminum receivers with Type III hard-coat anodizing, an ambidextrous FX-9-branded charging handle, and last-round bolt hold open. This FX-9 is built on the AR-9 platform with a semi-automatic blowback action. The billet-machined aluminum receivers wear a black Type III hard-coat anodized finish, while black-nitrided steel components add durability and corrosion resistance. It includes a manual safety and a last-round bolt hold open.
The 8 inch steel barrel is nitrided and threaded, capped with a knurled thread protector. A 1:10 RH twist supports a wide range of 9mm loads. Caliber is 9mm Luger.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard provides flexible accessory mounting and features a continuous, T-marked Picatinny top rail. No sights are installed, allowing the buyer to configure sights or optics of choice. An ambidextrous FX-9-branded charging handle enhances handling.
Ergonomics include a Shockwave Blade brace and an AR-15–pattern polymer grip. The pistol accepts Glock-pattern magazines and has a listed capacity of 33+1. Manufactured in Chandler, Indiana, USA.
