The Equinox Elite treatment gives this P229 its signature look: a stainless steel slide with brushed flats contrasted by a black Nitron-finished top. Nickel-plated controls add visual contrast and smooth handling, while factory Equinox and Custom Works roll marks identify the limited-run provenance.
The compact alloy frame is hard-coat anodized and uses the Elite-profile with an extended beavertail for confident control. An accessory rail, front strap serrations, and trigger guard serrations support practical setup and secure manipulation. Black checkered SIG SAUER grip panels complete the package.
This P229 is DA/SA and hammer-fired with a decocking lever and SIG's Short Reset Trigger (SRT) using a curved trigger shoe. Sight picture comes from SIG X-RAY3 day/night tritium 3-dot sights, pairing a high-visibility green-ring tritium front dot with two tritium rear dots.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, it uses a 3.9 in barrel and a 15+1 capacity. Three 15-round steel magazines are included, along with a WTPH Kydex belt holster and a gray range bag. The pistol was manufactured in the USA at SIG Sauer's Newington, New Hampshire facility.
