This P-3AT uses a hammer-fired, double-action-only, locked-breech short-recoil system that delivers a consistent trigger pull and reliable operation in a very compact package. The spurless hammer and integral fixed sights support a smooth, snag-resistant profile.
The slide is 4140 steel with rear diagonal serrations and integral sighting surfaces. The 4140 steel barrel mates to a 7075‑T6 aluminum internal chassis housed within a polymer grip shell, combining durability with very low weight. Molded diamond texturing on the grip provides a secure hold.
Controls are simple and minimal: a left-side magazine release, no manual safety, and no slide-stop/hold-open lever. Sights are integral, with a front post and a rear square notch, ready for straightforward, durable alignment.
Dimensionally, it is purpose-built for minimal bulk: approximately 5.2 inches long, 3.5 inches high, and 0.77 inches wide, with an unloaded weight around 8.3 ounces. Capacity is 6+1, and this example includes two 6-round magazines marked "MADE IN ITALY."
The P-3AT is a discontinued model with production reportedly spanning 2003–2022 and is made in the USA. Its micro size, pared-down controls, and lightweight construction have made it a notable entry in the .380 ACP pocket-pistol category.
