The Type G configuration provides a slide-mounted decocker-only lever, confirmed by the matching box label. The pistol uses a DA/SA hammer-fired action with Beretta's short-recoil rotating-barrel locking system and a 4 inch cold hammer forged barrel.
Controls are practical and adaptable, including a reversible push-button magazine release and interchangeable backstraps. The windage-adjustable 3-dot front and rear sights pair with a 5.78 inch sight radius for a clear sight picture. An integral MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail is built into the dust cover.
The slide wears a Bruniton black finish over a black fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame. Safety features include an automatic firing pin block and an out-of-battery safety. Capacity is listed at 20+1 and this example includes two 20-round magazines and one 17-round magazine.
Markings and provenance are clear and correct: chamber marked PB-9x19, manufacturer and origin marked GARDONE V.T. - MADE IN ITALY, and importer marked BERETTA U.S.A. CORP., ACCK., MD, with an IT20 marking near the rear of the slide. The serial on the frame and barrel matches the box label.
