This variant is noted as discontinued by S&W and includes two 6-round factory magazines.

The micro-size Bodyguard 380 pairs a 2.75 in stainless-steel barrel with an overall length of approximately 5.25 in and a slim 0.75 in width. Capacity is 6+1 with the included factory magazines featuring finger-rest baseplates for a secure hold.
Its double-action-only, hammer-fired system provides true second-strike capability. A shrouded external hammer and a manual thumb safety round out the controls, while the smooth curved trigger omits a blade safety by design.
The slide and barrel are stainless steel with a matte black protective finish. Rear-only fish-scale serrations offer traction at the back of the slide. The polymer frame has molded texturing with S&W medallions.
Sights are steel and drift-adjustable, front and rear, set in dovetails and kept low-profile. Markings observed include slide "M&P BODYGUARD 380," barrel hood "380 AUTO," ejection port "BG 380," and frame "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A." This United States-made model variant is noted as discontinued by S&W.
