Built for extreme long range with the CheyTac family of cartridges, the Tormento V centers on a billet AISI 420 steel action with a PVD finish. The bolt uses three symmetric lugs with the first at 6 o'clock and integral dirt and ice grooves for smooth operation in harsh conditions. A two-position top safety and the Victrix Professional Plus trigger set to approximately 1000 g (about 2.2 lb) provide a crisp, predictable fire control system.
The 30 in AISI 416R stainless match barrel is heavy-profile, lapped, fluted, and button-rifled with a 1:13 twist. It is threaded and fitted with the Victrix ProAngle detachable muzzle brake featuring three forward-canted chambers to manage recoil and muzzle movement. This barrel system is purpose-designed for consistent accuracy at ELR distances.
The hard-anodized light-alloy chassis wears a brown Cerakote finish and hosts a folding, skeletonized stock on the reversible EVO push-button hinge. The buttstock offers horizontal and vertical multi-lever adjustments, an adjustable buttpad, a retractable monopod with quick positioning and fine adjustment, and an insulated adjustable cheekpiece. Length of pull is 14.0 in.
A long octagonal-elliptic aluminum forend incorporates an accessory attachment system and pairs with an integrated 45 MOA monobloc Picatinny top rail and an integrated lower monobloc rail built to STANAG 4694/MIL-STD-1913. This rifle comes with the ROME Monobloc RMCS QM 0 MOA mount (with side level and angle cosine indicator) and the ROME Caliga QM bipod with swivel claw feet, giving a solid foundation for setup and support.
The detachable multifunction carry handle attaches via QM to Picatinny and includes an integrated Picatinny rail, an ergonomic handle, a rope hook, QD attachments, tripod sockets with 1/4-20 UNC and 3/8-16 UNC threads, and a front magnetic bit holder for field maintenance. Feeding is via a single-feed, single-stack 7-round polymer magazine. Typical weight is about 11.5 kg without a scope, and overall length is approximately 47.3 in folded and 57.0 in open. A heavy-duty reinforced transport case complements the system. Made in Italy.
