The APX A1 platform delivers full-size capacity in a polymer frame with a 4.25-inch barrel and a black slide featuring front and rear cocking serrations. The slide is marked "GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY," with import and proof information indicating Beretta USA, Accokeek, MD.
Controls are designed for flexibility: a bilateral slide stop/slide release pairs with a reversible magazine release to accommodate a wide range of shooters. The frame integrates a 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover and carries a clear "Fires Without Magazine" frame warning.
The factory slide includes an optic cut at the rear. The cover plate is provided and currently removed, with screw holes visible. Iron sights are dovetailed, using a white-dot front and a plain square-notch rear for a clean sight picture.
Ergonomics are configurable via the interchangeable backstrap system; three sizes are provided (two additional in the case). Two 17-round steel magazines are included, along with a Beretta magazine loader, cleaning brush, and the original hard case and manual.
