Freedom Ordnance FX-9 Gen 2 8" 9mm AR Pistol – OD Green Cerakote, 17+1, Glock-Mag Compatible
The FX-9 Gen 2 distills the familiar AR layout into a compact, 9mm blowback pistol engineered for Glock-pattern magazines. Billet 7075-T6 receivers are shortened from standard AR-15 dimensions and coated in durable OD Green Cerakote. Gen 2 updates to the feed ramp, bolt, and extractor enhance reliability, while a proprietary last-round bolt-hold-open keeps manual controls intuitive. An 8-inch QPQ-nitrided, button-rifled barrel capped with a linear compensator rounds out a feature set aimed at fast, controllable shooting.

Bore Condition: Excellent – Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling – Sharp lands and grooves.
This pistol shows a few minor surface scratches from light handling and range time, with no coating loss or structural wear visible.

The 8-inch barrel is cut from 4150 CrMoV steel, button-rifled at a 1:10 right-hand twist and finished inside and out with a QPQ nitride treatment for corrosion resistance. Factory threading at 1/2-28 TPI accepts the installed linear compensator, channeling blast forward for a more pleasant shooting experience.
Receivers are precision-machined billet 7075-T6 aluminum, bringing tight tolerances and reduced weight. A full-length Picatinny top rail with numbered T-slots offers ample space for sights or accessories, while a 7.5-inch free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard keeps the support hand clear of hot gas parts.
The proprietary last-round bolt-hold-open works with standard Glock magazines, pairing a familiar AR manual of arms with widely available 9mm mags. Gen 2 reliability upgrades include a revised feed ramp, enhanced bolt, and strengthened extractor.
An SB Tactical SOB brace provides added stability without adding excess bulk. A standard AR-style magazine release and A2-pattern pistol grip keep controls instinctive for anyone versed in the platform.
