The Atlantic Firearms AAM-47 is a US-built, AKM-pattern semi-automatic rifle assembled on a stamped Morrissey receiver with Atlantic Arms MFG markings. It features classic laminated wood furniture with a red-stained finish, a threaded 16.3 inch barrel with a detent-retained, US-marked muzzle device, and a left-side optic side rail. This example includes four 30-round steel magazines, an AK side-rail optic mount, and a hard rifle case.

Built on a stamped AKM-pattern receiver with dimples and standard rivet pattern, this AAM-47 follows the classic layout while benefiting from US manufacturing. The Morrissey, Inc. Bloomington, MN roll mark and Atlantic Arms MFG branding identify the receiver, and the matte finish complements the ribbed AKM dust cover.
The rifle retains a traditional look and feel with laminated wood handguards featuring a palm-swell, a red-stained fixed stock with a ribbed steel buttplate and left-side rear sling swivel, and a matching wood pistol grip. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, providing a familiar AKM stock geometry.
The 16.3 inch barrel is threaded and uses a spring-detent to retain the muzzle device. The device itself is US-marked. Sights are the proven AKM set: a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight graduated 1–10. A left-side optic side rail is installed on the receiver for mounting compatible side-rail accessories.
Chambered in 7.62x39 and operating via a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system, the rifle has a 30+1 capacity and uses standard AK/AKM-pattern steel magazines. Safety is managed by the manual safety/selector lever on the right side of the receiver.
Markings of note include receiver text denoting model and caliber, a triangle-with-arrow '1973 ES 2502' marking on the left receiver, and 'ES 2502' on the top cover. These ancillary markings are not the receiver serial number.
