The Model VII "Llama Extra" is the long-slide configuration with a 5.5 inch barrel and full-size steel frame. It is factory chambered in 9x23mm Largo and built in Spain, aligning with production from the 1930s-1940s era.
The pistol uses a single-action mechanism with 1911-style features, including a thumb safety, grip safety, and a push-button, left-side magazine release. It has an internal extractor, a 1911-type barrel bushing, and vertical rear cocking serrations, paired with a spur hammer.
Sights are fixed: a blade front and a dovetailed square-notch rear. The frame is fitted with checkered wood grip panels. An arched, vertically serrated mainspring housing with a lanyard ring adds to its period configuration.
Slide markings read "GABILONDO Y CIA. ELGOIBAR (ESPAÑA) / CAL. 9 m/m .38 'LLAMA'" on one line and "'LLAMA' EXTRA" on another, and the pistol bears the circled "G.C." trademark. The detachable single-column magazine provides an 8+1 capacity in 9x23mm Largo.
