Two factory magazines are included — a compact 10-round and an extended 15-round with grip sleeve — offering versatility in a proven 9mm platform.

The VP9SK OR slide is factory cut for optics and includes a cover plate. It adds practical front and rear cocking serrations and HK's charging supports (wings) for confident manipulation. Steel sights include a green-dot front and a serrated square-notch rear, with a measured sight radius of 5.73 inches.
Its 3.39-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel uses a polygonal bore for durability and consistent seal. The slide wears HK's Hostile Environment protective finish in black. An abbreviated Picatinny/MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover for mounting compatible lights.
Ergonomics are a VP Series hallmark: interchangeable grip side panels and backstraps allow fine-tuning, and the paddle-style magazine release supports ambidextrous use. The striker-fired system incorporates a trigger safety and passive internal safeties, plus a striker status indicator and loaded chamber indicator.
