The SAINT Edge is built around a 16-inch chrome-moly vanadium steel barrel with a Melonite treatment for durability and corrosion resistance. A 1/8 twist rate supports a broad range of 5.56 loads, and the 1/2x28 threaded muzzle is fitted with a Springfield Armory multi-port brake to help manage muzzle rise.
Its mid-length direct-impingement gas system uses a low-profile pinned adjustable gas block for precise regulation. The slim free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard includes Springfield locking tabs and a T-marked full-length Picatinny top rail, paired with spring-loaded low-profile flip-up sights.
The receiver set combines a 7075-T6 forged upper with M4 feed ramps and forward assist, and a 7075-T6 billet lower that integrates an enlarged trigger guard, flared magwell, Accu-Tite tension system, and QD attachment points. Inside is an enhanced M16 bolt carrier group featuring a 9310 steel bolt that is HPT/MPI tested and Melonite treated.
Controls and ergonomics include an ambidextrous safety and a modular match single-stage, short-reset, flat-faced trigger. The collapsible stock provides a 13.5-inch length of pull. The rifle weighs approximately 6 lb 3 oz with an overall length of 32.5–35.75 inches.
