The AM-15 is a semi-automatic, direct-impingement AR-15 platform chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 30+1 capacity. Its 16 inch threaded barrel is finished with an A2-pattern flash hider, providing standard muzzle device compatibility.
The rifle features a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with a continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny rail that aligns with the flat-top upper. The slick-side upper deletes the forward assist while retaining a brass deflector and an ejection-port dust cover.
Ergonomics and controls include a collapsible polymer stock, and a manual safety. Length of pull is 10.1 inches.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized black finish. The lower is marked "ANDERSON MANUFACTURING – HEBRON, KY – AM-15 – MULTI CAL." A detachable STANAG-pattern magazine interface ensures broad magazine compatibility. This example was produced prior to Anderson's brand discontinuation in 2025.
