The VP9SK is the subcompact member of HK's VP series, chambered in 9mm Luger and built in Germany with factory proof marks and the 'DE' country code. An import mark from HKI Columbus, GA is present. Its OD green polymer frame contrasts with the black slide, and the overall profile remains slim and carry-friendly.
The 3.39 in barrel is cold hammer forged with polygonal rifling. The pistol uses a striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech operating system. Safety features include a trigger safety blade and a striker status indicator.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, with paddle-style magazine releases and slide releases on both sides. The grip can be tailored using HK's interchangeable backstrap and side panel system, and charging support tabs at the rear of the slide aid manipulation.
OEM fixed iron sights are installed, with a high-visibility green front dot and a square-notch rear. The sight radius measures 5.73 in for a clear, consistent sight picture.
A three-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail is molded into the dustcover. Included magazines comprise three 12-round steel mags and one extended 15-round steel mag with a grip sleeve. Stated capacity is 15+1.
