Built around a semi-automatic, direct-blowback, closed-bolt system, the MAC IX combines proven operation with modern controls. It includes an ambidextrous AR-style charging handle, a paddle-style magazine catch, a left-side bolt release, and AR-style takedown pins for straightforward handling and maintenance.
The 6.5 inch barrel provides a dual muzzle interface: standard 1/2x28 threads and an MP5-style tri-lug. The included OEM compensator ships uninstalled, giving the buyer flexibility with the threaded setup. A continuous MIL-STD 1913 top rail runs along the upper, and the ventilated aluminum handguard adds M-LOK slots for accessory placement.
Ergonomics and furniture are a highlight on this example. It is outfitted with a side-folding rear arm that uses a rear 1913 Picatinny interface and a brace-style rear piece wrapped with cloth. Up front, an M-LOK hand stop is installed on the handguard, and the grip is a B5 Systems AR-pattern pistol grip finished in camouflage.
