Built on Zastava’s stamped AK receiver with a bulged front trunnion, this ZPAPM70 leverages the proven long-stroke gas piston system in 7.62x39. It features a 16 inch threaded barrel and a matte black finish, with an in-the-white polished bolt carrier for smooth operation. Capacity is 30+1.
The rifle is configured with a Magpul Zhukov-S right-side folding, adjustable stock and a Magpul MOE AK pistol grip. The adjustable stock provides an approximate length of pull from 12 to 15 inches, giving flexibility across shooting positions.
Mounting options are extensive. The extended aluminum M-LOK handguard includes a full-length 12-o'clock Picatinny rail. A hinged railed top cover adds additional rail space. The left-side AK optic side rail is present, and a UTG AK side rail optic mount is installed. Iron sights include an AK tangent rear sight leaf with a numbered elevation scale.
The trigger group has been upgraded with an ALG AK trigger, paired with a manual safety selector marked SAFE/FIRE. Markings include Zastava Arms USA, Des Plaines IL import stamp, model and caliber designations, Zastava Arms Made in Serbia, and the Zastava ZZ logo on the top-cover rail. The bolt carrier bears a matching electro-penciled number corresponding to the receiver serial.
