The Long Slide configuration delivers a 7-inch barrel and slide on a full-size 1911 platform, paired with stainless steel construction throughout. The slide is finished in stainless and features a flat-top with full-length longitudinal serrations (rib), rear-only vertical slide serrations, and an extended dust cover.
Sighting equipment includes a fixed front blade and a square-notch target rear sight that is screw-adjustable for windage and elevation. These sights sit atop the flat-topped rib unique to this model.
This pistol operates on a single-action only, short-recoil, locked-breech system. Controls include a beavertail grip safety, a left-side thumb safety, and a standard magazine release. The trigger is a long, drilled/lightened unit with an over-travel screw, and the hammer is a rounded spur type.
Markings include: left slide marked "HARDBALLER / AUTOMATIC" and "LONG SLIDE / CALIBER .45"; right slide marked "STAINLESS - MADE IN U.S.A."; and frame marked with the AMT logo and "EL MONTE, CA."
