What’s Included
- Uberti 1873 Cattleman Old Model (Black Powder Frame) .357 Mag. revolver
The Old Model black powder frame uses a screw-retained cylinder base pin, staying true to early Single Action Army construction. It is a full-size, single-action revolver with a right-side loading gate and a right-side ejector-rod housing featuring a bullseye ejector head.
The frame is color case-hardened, paired with a blued steel barrel and cylinder. A brass grip frame (trigger guard and backstrap) and smooth varnished hardwood grips add to the traditional look and feel.
Sighting is straightforward and durable, with a tall fixed front blade that has a serrated rear face, and a squared topstrap rear notch. The revolver has a six-shot fluted cylinder and retains the classic manual of arms expected of this pattern.
Markings include the Italian proof mark "PSF," the Roman-numeral date code "XXX" for 1974, and the importer rollmark "IVER JOHNSON'S FITCHBURG-MASS.-U.S.A." Matching numbers were observed on the butt and the underside of the barrel, indicating parts consistency on this example.
