The MK IV/Series 80 Enhanced configuration brings the Series 80 firing-pin block to the Commander platform, paired with a stainless steel slide and frame finished with brushed flats and matte rounds. The 4.25-inch Commander-length barrel delivers the familiar balance and handling associated with this model in .45 ACP.
Sight arrangement is a fixed 3-dot setup with an orange-painted front dot and a rear sight with two white dots, dovetailed at the rear. The slide includes rear vertical serrations and a lowered ejection port. An internal extractor and standard 1911 recoil system with a short guide rod are retained.
Controls and ergonomics reflect classic 1911 design: single-action operation, a left-side manual thumb safety, grip safety, Series 80 firing-pin block, and a half-cock hammer notch. The Commander-style ring hammer, arched and vertically serrated mainspring housing, and smooth front strap round out the handling features.
Checkered hardwood grip panels provide a traditional look and secure feel. This pistol is a United States-made example from the 1990s era, specifically 1995, and carries Colt model code 04012E, with the factory box labeled O4012E. Capacity is 7+1 using single-stack 1911 pattern magazines.
