The Apollo’s barrel system is a 4.6 inch ported bushingless bull design paired with a full-length guide rod. The slide includes lightening cuts, front and rear traction cuts, and a lowered/flared ejection port. Together, these features reflect a purpose-built configuration focused on fast cycling and consistent ejection.
The slide is factory machined with a direct-mount optic cut for the RMR/SRO footprint and includes a cover plate labeled RMR/SRO R-1 M4 x 0.7. Sights are a fiber-optic front blade (red) and a black serrated rear notch, providing a clear, high-contrast sight picture out of the box.
Controls and ergonomics are comprehensive: single-action only operation with ambidextrous thumb safeties, a beavertail grip safety with a raised pad, a flat-faced windowed trigger, and a skeletonized hammer. The double-stack 1911-pattern frame wears aggressive triangular micro‑pyramid grip texture and a large flared magwell for confident handling and fast magazine changes.
The dust cover features an integral 1913/Picatinny rail with five slots for mounting lights or accessories. Nominal capacity is 20+1, and the pistol weighs approximately 38 ounces without an optic. This configuration delivers a modern, competition-leaning feature set in a 9mm platform from Atlas Gunworks.
