Built by A. Uberti in Italy for Cimarron, this Model 1873 Sporting Rifle is a reproduction with authentic details, including a toggle-link action, a removable right receiver sideplate, and a sliding top dust cover. It is C.I.P. proofed and marked with Cimarron’s Repeating Arms information.
The rifle features a 24.25-inch full octagon steel barrel with a 1:16 RH twist, paired with a full-length tubular magazine offering 13+1 capacity in .45 Colt. Loading is via the traditional right-side gate, and a brass carrier/lifter feeds rounds smoothly.
Traditional sights include a dovetailed front blade and a buckhorn rear with a step elevator for elevation adjustments. The receiver wears a color case-hardened finish, while the barrel is blued, providing a classic contrast true to the period style.
Furniture is A-grade walnut with a straight grip stock, walnut forend, steel forend cap, and a steel crescent buttplate. A lever latch on the lower tang secures the action. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches, fitting the rifle’s full-size configuration.
