The classic 4.62 in barrel length and six-shot fluted cylinder deliver the traditional Blackhawk balance and profile.
The revolver uses Ruger's single-action New Model mechanism with a transfer-bar safety and loading-gate interlock, enabling safe carry of six. It has an external hammer with a checkered spur, and the hammer and trigger are left in the white. A spring-loaded ejector with a grooved ejector-rod head provides positive case extraction.
Construction is all alloy steel with a blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and receiver. Chambered in .357 Magnum, it also accepts .38 Special, offering flexibility for range or field use while maintaining the same handling characteristics.
