The 28 inch barrel is ported and set up with a ventilated rib and a single front bead. It is threaded for the Accu-Mag choke system and is marked "NOT FOR USE WITH SLUGS." Two Accu-Mag choke tubes are included, with one installed.
This 835 Ulti-Mag accepts 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2 inch 12-gauge shells and holds 5+1. Control layout includes right-side ejection and an ambidextrous tang safety. The sight picture is straightforward with a bead on the rib for rapid alignment.
The shotgun wears a full camouflage hydrographic finish across the barrel, receiver, stock, and forend. The synthetic stock includes a recoil pad and sling swivel studs front and rear, with a camo nylon sling already fitted. Length of pull is 14 inches.
