Made in West Germany and slide-marked "MADE IN W. GERMANY," this P220-1 reflects the classic early configuration. The factory box is labeled for the "P 220-1" variant, and the included factory test target references the same pistol, providing helpful documentation that aligns with the gun.
The pistol uses an aluminum-alloy frame with a hard-anodized finish and a non-rail profile with a rounded trigger guard. Its stamped carbon-steel slide employs a pinned/machined breech block with a transverse roll pin and an internal extractor, with rear-only cocking serrations for traction.
Operating on SIG's short-recoil, modified Browning tilting-barrel system, the P220-1 offers a DA/SA trigger with a decocking lever and firing pin block. Controls include a left-side push-button magazine release. This full-size configuration features a 4.4-inch barrel and black checkered grip panels.
Fixed contrast "dot-the-I" sights provide a white-dot ramped front and a square-notch rear with a vertical white bar. Chambered in .45 ACP, the pistol has a 7+1 capacity and comes with three factory 7-round single-column steel magazines.
