The bolt-action system uses a spiral-fluted bolt body with a knurled bolt knob for positive manipulation. Feeding is from a detachable box magazine, and capacity is 4+1. A manual safety with a red fire indicator provides clear visual status.
Mossberg's LBA trigger is user-adjustable (approx. 2–7 lb range), allowing the shooter to tailor pull weight. The walnut stock has a sporter profile with pressed checkering, a free-float barrel channel, sling swivel studs, and a rubber buttpad. Length of pull is 13.75 in.
