The G1 frame is the original Thompson/Center Contender design, produced in the USA and dated to 1974. Its blued steel receiver carries factory cougar-and-scroll engraving on both sides, adding authentic period character to a desirable early-production example.
The 8 inch blued steel barrel includes a longitudinal serrated top rib. Sights are practical and precise: a ramped, serrated front blade paired with an adjustable rear sight offering windage and elevation settings.
This break-open, single-shot platform uses a two-piece trigger guard, with the forward portion serving as the action-opening lever. The exposed hammer features the G1 rimfire/centerfire selector and dual firing pins, and the pistol uses the Contender interchangeable barrel system for caliber and barrel swaps.
Controls and shooting feel are straightforward, with a single-action trigger and full-size configuration. The walnut target-style pistol grip and matching checkered forend provide a firm hold, and the grip is capped with a T/C-logo metal buttcap.
