Manufactured in June 1974 per the 'P Y' barrel date code, this Model 700 BDL shows the oval REP proof on the barrel breech along with additional factory inspector and plant marks. The rifle retains a polished, jeweled bolt body and a blued finish consistent with the period.
The 22-inch sporter barrel is fitted with factory open sights: a hooded ramp front sight with a gold bead and a step-elevator adjustable open rear sight on the barrel. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and the rifle comes with two-piece scope bases and 1 in. rings already installed.
The BDL walnut stock is finished in gloss and set up with a Monte Carlo comb, raised cheekpiece, contrasting fore-end tip, white-line spacers, and sling swivel studs. Cut checkering wraps the pistol grip and fore-end for a secure hold. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
