What's Included
The Trapper configuration pairs a short 16-inch octagon barrel with a full-size receiver and a 12.5-inch length of pull, creating a handy lever-action profile in a proven platform. The barrel is marked "WINCHESTER Model 1892 - Caliber 44 Rem Mag ONLY," confirming its .44 Remington Magnum chambering.
Construction is all steel with a uniform blued finish on the receiver and barrel. The straight-grip walnut stock and rifle-style walnut forend are checkered for purchase and fitted with a steel forearm cap. The muzzle is flat-crowned at the octagon face, and the magazine end cap is retained by a cross-pin.
The action is the classic top-eject design with dual vertical locking lugs for secure lockup. A top-tang sliding safety provides an additional control familiar to modern Winchester-pattern rifles. Feeding is via a tubular magazine with a 7+1 capacity in .44 Magnum.
Sights are traditional iron units: a dovetailed front blade and a semi-buckhorn rear with a stepped elevator for elevation adjustments. Markings include tang text "WINCHESTER / MODEL 1892" and proof/import stamps noting manufacture by Miroku in Japan and import by BACO, Inc. in Morgan, Utah.
