What’s Included
- Colt Single Action Army Second Generation revolver, .357 Magnum, 7.5 inch barrel
Produced during Colt’s Second Generation run (1956–1974), this revolver was manufactured in 1970 and falls in the SA-suffix serial range associated with that era. It is U.S.-made and constructed entirely of steel, reflecting the traditional build that defines the SAA lineage.
The revolver is configured with a 7.5 inch Cavalry-length barrel and an approximate overall length of 13 inches. It uses a fluted six-shot cylinder for a 6-round capacity and employs the classic single-action mechanism.
Finish and materials are period-correct: blue on the barrel, cylinder, ejector housing, and grip frame, paired with a color case-hardened frame. Grips are black, checkered hard rubber with Rampant Colt medallions and the eagle/shield motif.
Sight configuration is fixed, with a blade front and a groove/notch integral to the topstrap at the rear. Markings include the left barrel legend "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .357 MAGNUM," the top barrel address "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG.
CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.," and a two-line patent legend on the frame with the Rampant Colt logo. The loading gate carries assembly number "146."
