This example features a stainless-steel slide with Nitron finish, a hard-coat anodized aluminum-alloy frame, SIGLITE tritium night sights, and practical enhancements such as front-strap checkering, an extended beavertail, and an integral accessory rail. It comes with three factory 15-round magazines, a SIG Sauer hard case, and an optional E2 wraparound grip.

The Elite R2 configuration brings an optics-ready slide with a two-screw cover plate, combining the compact P229 form with modern sighting capability. The slide wears a durable Nitron black finish over stainless steel and includes front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation.
The DA/SA action with decocker pairs with Sig’s Short Reset Trigger for fast follow-up shots, and the external hammer and curved trigger deliver a traditional, controllable interface. A left-side magazine release supports standard operation and reloads.
Factory SIGLITE tritium night sights are installed front and rear. The rear sight base is marked SIGLITE, and the barrel hood is marked "9mm x 19," aligning with the pistol’s 9mm Luger chambering.
The hard-coat anodized aluminum-alloy frame includes front-strap checkering and an extended beavertail for secure control. An integral accessory rail with three slots is machined into the dust cover. The pistol is currently fitted with two-piece checkered grip panels and includes a factory E2 one-piece wraparound grip if you prefer a different feel.
This compact P229 features a 3.9 in barrel and a 15+1 capacity, and it ships with three factory 15-round steel P229 magazines. Factory dimensions are approximately 7.1 in L x 5.5 in H x 1.5 in W, with a weight of about 32 oz. Made in the USA.
