This Springfield Armory XD-9 Service Model is the low-capacity 10-round configuration with a 4-inch hammer-forged, Melonite-treated barrel and a forged steel slide. Built by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported by Springfield Armory U.S.A., it features steel 3-dot sights, an ambidextrous magazine release, and the XD's layered safety system with loaded chamber and striker status indicators. It comes with two factory 10-round magazines, the original manual, the factory carton, and a zippered soft case.

This full-size XD-9 Service Model pairs a 4-inch barrel with a striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech action. The configuration is the low-capacity 10+1 variant and uses a dual captive recoil spring with a full-length guide rod. An ambidextrous magazine release and an integral accessory rail on the polymer frame support practical handling and setup.
The forged steel slide wears a black Melonite finish and is cut with front and rear serrations for confident manipulation. The hammer-forged, Melonite-treated barrel features a 1:10 twist. Together, these materials and treatments are chosen for durability and corrosion resistance.
Safety cues and controls are straightforward and visible. The XD incorporates a grip safety and a trigger safety, plus a loaded chamber indicator and a striker status indicator pin that provide immediate status checks.
Sighting is handled by dovetailed steel 3-dot sights front and rear. Markings include "SPRINGFIELD INC., GENESEO, IL., HS PRODUKT, MADE IN CROATIA," with the model marked "XD-9." This example is SKU XD9101 and has matching serial numbers on the slide, barrel, and frame.
