The BD configuration adds a decocker to the proven CZ 75 B platform while retaining the B-series firing pin block. This double-action/single-action pistol uses a short-recoil, tilting-barrel system and a curved trigger for familiar CZ 75 ergonomics and operation.
The pistol uses a cold hammer-forged approximately 4.6 in barrel and an internal slide-in-frame design. The slide has rear serrations only and an anti-glare longitudinal rib. Sights are fixed, dovetailed 3-dot units with green dots front and rear.
Construction is all-steel with a black finish on the slide and frame, a full-length dustcover with no accessory rail, and a ring/rowel spur hammer. Grips are black checkered polymer with CZ medallions. Capacity is 16+1 with the included double-stack magazines.
Markings include caliber designations on the slide ("CAL. 9 LUGER") and barrel ("9×19"), Czech proof and inspection marks including a triangle proof mark and "24" inspection mark, and a CZ-USA, Hartford, CT import mark. The slide, frame, and barrel carry matching serial numbers. Country of origin is the Czech Republic.
