What’s Included
- Henry factory cardboard box with end label for Model H027-H9

The Homesteader operates via a simple, straight-blowback action and uses a 16-inch class threaded steel barrel (factory specification approximately 16.37 inches) with a 1/2x28 thread pattern and blued finish. The receiver wears a hard-anodized black finish. The barrel is marked Made in USA (Rice Lake, WI), and the bolt locks open on an empty magazine.
Sights and controls are set up for practical use: an adjustable aperture (peep) rear sight pairs with a screw-on post front sight on a ramp. Safety features include a top-mounted, sliding tang safety with a red fire indicator. Dual magazine-release levers provide intuitive access from either side.
American walnut furniture gives this carbine a solid, traditional feel. The stock features checkering, a straight comb, a rubber buttpad, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is 14.0 inches, overall length is 35.75 inches, and weight is 6.6 pounds, balancing the carbine for steady handling.
The modular magazine-well system on the Homesteader allows different adapters; this example is configured with the Henry mag well. The receiver is drilled and tapped for Weaver 63B pattern bases. The model was introduced in 2023 and remains in active production. Note: this example is designed for a reversible, ambidextrous charging handle, but no charging handle is present.
