The Omni Hybrid MAXX uses polymer upper and lower receivers reinforced with metal inserts, combining a distinctive Flat Dark Earth finish with durability-focused construction. Receiver markings include "AMERICAN TACTICAL," "OMNI HYBRID MULTI-CAL," "AMERICAN TACTICAL SUMMERVILLE, SC," and "MADE IN USA," along with patent markings US 9,068,786 (upper) and US 8,789,305 (lower).
The 16-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with an A2-style flash hider. A free-float aluminum handguard provides M-LOK slots, plus a continuous T-marked Picatinny top rail that runs over the receiver and handguard, and a short Picatinny section at 6 o'clock for added mounting options.
This rifle operates via a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system. AR-15 pattern controls include a dust cover, forward assist, brass deflector, and bolt catch. The upper is a flat-top configuration with no sights installed.
