The Legion SAO configuration delivers single-action-only operation with an external hammer and ambidextrous, frame-mounted manual safeties, and it omits a decocker. This full-size P226 uses a 4.4 inch barrel and an 18+1 capacity, combining a steel slide with an aluminum-alloy frame finished in Legion Gray Cerakote. It is made in the United States with right-side marking SIG SAUER INC., NEWINGTON, NH, USA.
X-Series ergonomics include a beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, and a checkered front strap to promote a consistent grip. Black textured G10 grip panels with the Legion chevron motif provide a firm hold, and the slide carries both front and rear serrations for confident manipulation. An integral 1913-style accessory rail is machined into the dustcover.
The flat-faced AX1 adjustable trigger is single-action-only and includes an adjustable over-travel stop. The hammer-fired system uses an external hammer, and the controls are mirrored with ambidextrous safeties for left- or right-side use.
The slide is optic cut and comes with a mounted SIG Sauer ROMEO-X reflex red dot optic. A tritium front sight with a green X-RAY ring remains on the slide for a bright, easy-to-locate aiming reference.
