It stands out with an optics-ready slide cut (modified RMS-C/507K footprint) featuring S&W’s ClearSight gas-diverting cut and a cover plate marked "M4 THREADS," plus fixed 3-dot white sights and a lanyard loop. The CSX E-Series combines a micro footprint with a traditional single-action-only, hammer-fired system. The external hammer and ambidextrous thumb safety provide positive mechanical controls, while front and rear cocking serrations aid slide manipulation on the compact profile.
Its stainless steel slide and barrel wear S&W’s black Armornite finish for corrosion resistance. The 3.6 in, non-threaded barrel uses a 1:10 twist, and the slide is optics-ready with a modified RMS-C/507K footprint. S&W’s ClearSight gas-diverting cut helps keep the optic window clear, and a fitted cover plate is installed and marked "M4 THREADS."
The aluminum-alloy frame in flat black keeps weight down while maintaining rigidity. Textured polymer grip and backstrap inserts enhance purchase, and the enlarged grip adapter is installed for added control. A lanyard loop at the rear of the frame and slide markings reading "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA USA" round out the details.
