What’s Included
- Marlin Model 336 R.C. .35 Rem lever-action rifle
- Scope mount installed
The 336 R.C. designation identifies this as the Regular Carbine variant, combining a 20-inch barrel with a compact carbine fore-end and two barrel/magazine bands. The solid-top, side-eject receiver supports easy top mounting of a scope, and this example includes a scope mount already installed.
Chambered in .35 Rem, it pairs carbine-length handling with strong, heavy-bore performance. Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling and the excellent, mirror-bright bore condition further support accuracy and ballistic efficiency with appropriate loads.
Sighting is handled by a ramped front and a semi-buckhorn rear with elevator. The front sight hood is not present. The receiver and barrel wear a blued finish, and the barrel bears the desirable JM stamp. This 1964-production rifle is identified by its Z-prefix serial number.
The rifle retains its pre–cross-bolt safety configuration with an exposed hammer and a half-cock hammer notch. Furniture includes an uncheckered hardwood pistol-grip stock with a Marlin hard-rubber buttplate and a matching hardwood carbine fore-end. The full-length tubular magazine holds six rounds of .35 Rem.
