The short-action Mark V system uses a spiral-fluted, six-lug bolt with a 54-degree lift for fast cycling and generous scope clearance. It is a push-feed design with a plunger ejector, combining smooth feeding with positive ejection.
The 22 in sporter-profile steel barrel features a recessed crown and a 1:10 RH twist to stabilize common .308 Win. bullet weights. Weatherby backs this model with a factory SUB-MOA accuracy guarantee.
The steel receiver wears a matte bronze finish and comes drilled and tapped for scope bases. There are no sights installed from the factory, allowing a clean setup for the optic of your choice.
The black polymer stock is pillar-bedded for stability and includes chevron-style molded grip panels, sling swivel studs, and a rubber buttpad. Length of pull measures 13.5, and capacity is 4+1.
Safety features include a bolt-shroud safety, gas relief ports, and a red fire indicator. This U.S.-made rifle was produced in Sheridan, Wyoming, and the Bronze variant is now discontinued.
