Built on the 590A1 platform, this SPX model features a heavy-walled, fixed cylinder bore barrel measuring 20 inches. It is chambered for 12 gauge 2 3/4 in and 3 in shells and feeds from a 9-shot system (8+1) using an extended magazine tube.
The sighting system includes an XS rail-mounted rear ghost ring and a wing-protected front post. A full-length receiver Picatinny rail provides ample mounting surface, and the receiver is marked M590A1. The barrel is marked 12 GA for 2 3/4 in & 3 in shells, Model 590, Cylinder Bore.
Controls and construction details include dual action bars, dual extractors, steel-to-steel lockup, a clean-out magazine tube, and metal trigger guard and safety. The extended magazine uses a knurled cap and integrates a forward sling stud. A bayonet lug is fitted at the front.
