The Savage Arms MSR-10 Hunter is a small-frame AR-10 chambered in .308 Win with a 16-inch barrel and a feature set focused on accuracy, reliability, and modern ergonomics. It pairs a Melonite QPQ-treated, 5R-rifled barrel with a nickel-boron coated bolt carrier group, a free-float M-LOK handguard, and an ambidextrous safety. This example includes a two-chamber side-ported muzzle brake and comes with a 20-round Magpul PMAG.

The MSR-10 Hunter uses a small-frame AR-10 architecture to keep weight and dimensions efficient while maintaining .308 Win performance. Its 16-inch barrel features a Melonite QPQ finish and 5R rifling with a 1:10 twist, designed for consistent accuracy and barrel longevity. The barrel is threaded and fitted with a two-chamber side-ported muzzle brake.
The direct-impingement gas system runs a low-profile gas block under a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard. A continuous Picatinny top rail and an additional short forward Picatinny section provide mounting space for accessories. The rifle ships without sights.
The receiver set is forged aluminum and includes a forward assist, an ejection-port dust cover, and an integral brass deflector. A silver-colored nickel-boron coated bolt carrier group is visible and characteristic of the MSR-10 Hunter line. Controls include an ambidextrous safety selector and a standard rear charging handle.
Furniture includes a Magpul MOE 6-position collapsible stock on a carbine receiver extension and a Magpul pistol grip. Capacity is 20+1 with the included LR/SR pattern PMAG. Markings include "SAVAGE MSR-10," "CAL: MULTI," and "SAVAGE ARMS, WESTFIELD, MA USA."
