Factory engraving highlights the Grade II trim, with squirrels and floral motifs on the satin gray receiver and an engraved trigger guard. The barrel is rollmarked "CALIBER .22 LONG RIFLE / BROWNING PATENTS" and "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN JAPAN," and the proof marks confirm Japanese manufacture by Miroku in 1978.
The rifle uses a semi-automatic blowback action with bottom ejection and an underside charging handle. A cross-bolt safety with a red "fire" indicator provides straightforward controls, and the gold-colored trigger is a defining Browning touch on this grade.
The 19.25-inch steel barrel wears a polished blue finish and breaks down quickly using the takedown system with a knurled adjustment ring. Open sights include a ramped blade front and a folding rear leaf for a clean, traditional sight picture.
The high-gloss checkered walnut stock houses the tubular magazine in the butt, loaded through a right-side stock port and accessed via the serrated metal buttplate. Stated capacity is 10 rounds, and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
This SA-22 retains the classic configuration collectors look for, including its bottom-eject design and distinctive Grade II embellishments. The original factory box is included, and its end label matches the rifle’s serial number, grade, and barrel length.
