The 28-inch full-length octagon steel barrel is blued and roll-marked "THOMPSON | CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE CAL 50." It is chambered in .50 caliber and configured as a single-shot muzzleloader. Iron sights include a dovetailed blade front and an adjustable open rear.
The right-hand percussion caplock action pairs with a double-set trigger system for refined control. A color casehardened hammer and a scroll-engraved lockplate add classic visual detail consistent with the Hawken pattern.
The hardwood half-stock features a left-side cheekpiece and is fitted with brass furniture throughout. Elements include a brass buttplate, trigger guard with finger spur, nosecap, thimbles, wedge escutcheons, and a hinged right-side brass patchbox. The barrel is secured with one transverse wedge key.
Made in the United States, this Hawken is a faithful reproduction of the famous plains rifle style. The model line was introduced in 1970 and has been discontinued, adding appeal for enthusiasts who value traditional muzzleloaders with period-correct features.
