This Marlin Model 780 is a classic, North Haven-made bolt-action .22 LR from 1975 with Marlin's Micro-Groove barrel. It includes a Simmons scope mounted in 3/8" tip-off rings on the receiver's integral dovetail grooves. The rifle features a blued steel receiver and barrel, a hardwood Monte Carlo stock with white-line spacers, and open sights for versatile aiming options. Please note: the rifle does not include a magazine.

Manufactured in 1975, this Model 780 carries the North Haven rollmark and Marlin's well-known Micro-Groove rifling. The right-hand bolt has a knurled knob for positive manipulation, and the rifle uses a two-position safety with a gold-colored trigger.
The 22" steel barrel is rollmarked: "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. – MODEL 780 – MICRO-GROOVE BARREL – 22 CAL – S-L-L-R." Sighting equipment includes a ramped blade front and an open leaf rear with a stepped elevator, providing practical options for rimfire shooting.
The blued steel receiver is cut with integral 3/8-inch tip-off dovetail grooves. A Simmons scope is installed using 3/8" tip-off rings, providing a ready-to-use sighting setup while retaining the open sights.
The hardwood stock features a Monte Carlo comb, impressed checkering with a scroll pattern at the pistol grip, white-line spacers, a black Marlin logo buttplate, and a black forend cap with a white-line spacer. A sling swivel stud is installed on the forend underside, and the length of pull is 14.0".
As configured, the rifle has a 1-round capacity. The magazine is not included; the rifle can be used as a single-shot by loading directly.
