The rifle is the .338 Lapua Magnum magnum configuration with a 26 inch heavy-contour barrel made from 4140 chrome-moly steel. The barrel is cold hammer-forged with 5R rifling and is threaded from the factory, fitted with Ruger’s Magnum multi-baffle tunable brake for recoil management.
The action uses a three-lug bolt with a 70° throw and an oversized bolt handle for fast, positive operation. Controls include an ambidextrous safety selector and the Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger, allowing precise, user-adjustable pull weight.
The chassis features a left-folding, fully adjustable stock with cheek height adjustment, a micro-adjust buttpad/length-of-pull system, and an integrated bag-rider rail. The length of pull is currently set to 14.5 inches. An AR-style pistol grip with the Ruger logo is installed.
An extended free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with Ruger branding surrounds the barrel, and a Picatinny rail is mounted on the receiver. The receiver uses a pre-hardened steel upper paired with aluminum magazine-well halves and wears a black hard-coat anodized finish. Markings include “RUGER PRECISION” and “NEWPORT NH USA.” Capacity is 5+1, and this example was manufactured in 2019 with a matching bolt.
