Built as the Tactical variant of the FN 509 series, this pistol pairs a Flat Dark Earth slide and frame with fully ambidextrous controls, including the slide stop and magazine release. A MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail on the dustcover supports light or laser attachment. The frame is marked "FN COLUMBIA, SC USA."
The 4.5 in stainless steel barrel is cold hammer-forged and threaded 1/2x28 with an O-ring-retained thread cap. A recessed crown and 1:10 RH twist support precise performance with a variety of 9mm loads.
The slide incorporates FN's Low-Profile Optics Mounting System (LPOMS) and comes topped with a Vortex Viper red dot. Suppressor-height iron sights (front post, rear notch) provide a clear co-witness. Please note: while the OEM optic cover plate is included, the lug adapter required for proper reinstalment of the cover plate is not present.
This full-size 9mm offers a maximum capacity of 24+1 with the included extended magazine and 17+1 with the standard magazine. Interchangeable backstraps fine-tune grip fit. Dimensions include a 7.9 in overall length, 5.75 in height, 1.35 in width, a 5.79 in sight radius, and a weight of 27.9 oz.
