The SAM7K-44 is built on a Bulgarian hot-die hammer-forged, milled steel receiver that delivers notable strength and stability. It uses a gas-operated, long-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt, chambered for 7.62x39, providing the classic AK operating architecture in a compact pistol format.
The 8.5 inch barrel is cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined for durability and corrosion resistance. The threaded front sight block uses 24x1.5mm RH threads, expanding configuration options. Overall length is approximately 18 inches, with an approximate weight of 5.87 lb, giving it a solid feel in a compact footprint.
Factory furniture includes polymer handguards (ribbed lower and smooth upper) and a polymer AK pistol grip. Controls include an ambidextrous safety for versatile operation. A left-side optics rail and a rear Picatinny attachment rail are integrated into the design.
