This Government Model follows the classic 1911 pattern with a full-size steel frame and a 5-inch barrel in .45 ACP. The matte gray finish and rear-only vertical cocking serrations reflect the utilitarian ORM configuration produced from 1991–2001, with the slide marked "COLT M1991A1."
The pistol uses the Series 80 firing pin safety system and retains traditional 1911 controls, including a single-side manual thumb safety on the left, a grip safety, and a spur hammer. An arched, serrated mainspring housing provides a period-correct grip profile.
Sighting is straightforward and durable with fixed GI-style sights: a staked front blade and a square-notch rear in a dovetail. Checkered synthetic grip panels with Colt medallions offer secure purchase while keeping the original Colt look.
