What's Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 686-6 revolver
This Model 686-6 is built on Smith & Wesson's robust L-Frame and constructed entirely from stainless steel, including the frame, cylinder, and 4-inch barrel. The full underlug and shrouded ejector rod enhance barrel weight and protect the ejector, while the serrated top rib helps reduce glare along the sighting plane. The stainless finish provides durable, low-maintenance protection.
Sighting equipment is classic and precise: a pinned red-ramp front sight paired with an adjustable rear sight. The DA/SA action uses a smooth-faced trigger and exposed hammer, delivering conventional double-action pulls with the option for single-action precision. The seven-shot fluted cylinder maintains the familiar capacity and handling of the 686 line.
The -6 engineering change incorporates an internal key lock and a frame-mounted firing pin. Black synthetic finger-groove grips with S&W medallions provide a secure, hand-filling hold suitable for a full-size revolver. This revolver is compatible with .357 Magnum and .38 Special, including .38 Special +P.
Factory markings are present and correctly applied: the left side of the barrel reads "S&W .357 MAGNUM.", the right side of the barrel reads "SMITH & WESSON.", the right side of the frame is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS.", and the left sideplate bears the S&W trademark logo. The yoke cut is stamped "111". Made in the United States.
